The Minions and Minion Horde are great cards for taking out dangerous ground troops like the Prince or Giant. These cards have low HP, but have a high damage per second, which allows them to take off a lot of HP from other cards

The Royale Giant is a card that you get at one of the top Arenas. Once you get him and find a space for him in your deck, he is a great adversary to have around waiting to destroy. He has a good amount of hit-points and damage so it doesn't overpower the other cards

The Giant and Mini Pekka are formidable cards in the lower to middle Arenas. Together they will destroy a Tower in no time, as long as the Mini Pekka isn't distracted by anything else. The Mini Pekka and Giant by themselves aren't as formidable because they don't have that extra punch to take out the tower quickly. If you don't like the Giant because of its slow movement speed, you can always use the Prince(See Below).
The Giant Skeleton and Prince are very good Epics for all Arenas. The Prince is a formidable foe by itself or if paired up with medium to high HP cards like the Giant Skeleton(See Above), Giant, Musketeer, and Mini Pekka(See Above Prince). The Prince is great because it has a charge that does 2 times more damage than its damage per second. The Giant Skeleton is also a formidable foe, but moves slowly. Also, "The Giant Skeleton carries a bomb that he carelessly drops when destroyed. Oops!"(Card Description) This is an apt description in this case, because the bomb does exactly what a bomb is supposed to do, explode! A level 1 Giant Skeleton's bomb does 720 damage!!! At level 2 it does around 900 damage. Talk about destructive!
The Legendaries- by far the best cards in the game. Both the Princess and Ice Wizard are very effective if a high HP troop is in front of it, like the Giant or Prince. The Ice Wizard slows down his enemies to allow more damage to occur in a 2 vs 1 troop battle. The Princess is great in destroying towers because she can hit the towers from out of target range. The Miner, Sparky, and Lava Hound are newer legendaries that can deal a lot of damage but die quickly. The Miner can travel anywhere on the map- even on to the enemy base. This is effective if the opposing tower is busy and then this can deal damage from behind. The Sparky is slow but deals a lot of damage once charged. Its splash damage is effective in taking out multiple targets. The Lava Hound is a flying unit and also has slow speed. Once the Lava Hound dies it releases up to 5 Lava Pups that keep the fight going.
